Just when you thought the Apocalypse couldn't get any crazier...
...Spring, 2013. Flowers are blooming, trees are sprouting leaves, and the Walkers are ready to come out and play! You never know where you'll find yourself, or what situations you may encounter. With the sun gleaming, and spring springing, it's time to make some choices.

How This Works....
  • Anyone interested in participating in the event will reply here with the list of the characters they want to use, those characters will be added to the master list. Please include the number of people you are comfortable threading with for this event. You will have til the end of March to join. (See example below)
  • On April 1st, the admins will post a list of randomly chosen groups of no more than 5 people. Each group will be assigned a randomly chosen scenario and a randomly chosen posting order.
  • Some scenario may be given to two groups depending on participation; while reading is encouraged, try not to borrow from other people's ideas.
  • The event will be open on April 4th after the groups have been announced and threads may begin that day, but the posting order does not give the first poster license to hijack the thread. Plot amongst your group if possible; if it's not possible, try to write politely.
  • Some of these threads may be AU, some may be Past, some may be Future. Feel free to talk with your RP partners and decide where the thread should go. (If the staff feel the thread should be AU we will make note of it when posting the groups and scenarios.)
Keep In Mind...
  • Each person gets FIVE(5) DAYS to post, if they haven't by the end of their five days then they will be skipped and the next person in the randomly chosen posting order is up

This example means that Iris Waters will get paired up with one other person to form a two person thread and Teagan McCarthy will be paired up with at least two other to form a three person thread. If the number of people requesting more than one other person to RP with doesn't match up, you will be paired up with a smaller number. We will never pair more than 5 people together.

Hello Everyone!
<p>
Can you believe it's almost April!? I can't! Time sure has been flying by. The staff has been busy doing some spring cleaning around the site. With the increase of people in and around the Washington DC area, we've changed the forums up a little bit. You will find now that there is a new main forum for Washington DC! At the end of this announcement, I've added a list of the new forum order.
<p>
With this changing of the forum, the staff would like to put out a reminder to all of the members of Rick's Convoy. They have not yet joined Alexandria and thus threads shouldn't be posted there. To clarify things a little bit more, Rick's Convoy is hanging out a little south of Arlington, VA. They're in what was once upon a time as safe zone (at the beginning of the outbreak). Any threads that the staff find need to be moved (generally any in Maryland) will be moved into the main VA forum. If you have any questions about this please PM Jenks for more information.
<p>
There are some other changes happening around the site as well. Firstly, the activity check date will be changing. I'm finding it a little too hard to deal with being in the middle of the month. As such, this month's activity check will be extended back to the first of April. All following AC's will happen at the first of the month as well. This means we will be checking for post counts for following month.
<p>
Secondly! We are going to be updating the cbox to the newer version. As such the old one will be removed from the site. For those of you that use the cbox on mobile devices with just the cbox link, the new link is: my.cbox.ws/whispersintoscreams2
<p>
Third! The spring event will be announced soon! Keep an eye out for it!
<p>
And fourth, The staff is compiling a list of all pregnant women and children that are NPCed. This isn't for any restrictions or anything, it is just a simple list of reference for the staff. If you have any characters that are pregnant or any children stated traveling with your characters, please PM Jax so we can get you on the list! If you have plans for your character to get pregnant at some point, the staff would love to know (again, just for reference nothing wrong!)

The AC for Jan has ended. We had extended it due to the holidays! The canon list, member directory and face claims have all been updated! The map has also been updated. Anyone that has not replied to the map will be tagged. As well, anyone that still needs to do their member directory or update their mini profiles will receive a PM.
<p>
With the increase of members, the staff have agreed that the post per month count should be increased. We are going from requiring one post a month to 5 for OCs and 7 for Canons. We will begin looking for this change in March. This change has been reflected in the rules!
<p>
Every character MUST post at least FIVE(5) times a month, Canons MUST post at least SEVEN(7) times a month. If you have not, you will also receive a PM and will have a week from its sending to post.
<br>
All members must reply to this post stating that they have read and understand this increased requirement.
<p>
And just one more note, we've updated the character development forum. You can request a forum of your own right over here!

Hey guys,

So I've been debating about updating/organizing the Character Development section of the board for a bit. Mars mentioned it the other night in cbox so! you can all thank them for this =]

The Character Development forum w ill start to look like this:

This is how this is gonna go:
- Fill out the code below if you would like a forum (Copy the character part for as many characters as you wish. Not all of your characters have to have a forum!)

-- If you want a forum desctiprion. If yes please include what. We can do images. They must be 230x80.
- A section will be added to the apps asking if you would like a forum for the new character

Simple right? Then you can put everything into that forum with as many topics for your character as you want!

<p>Hello and Happy Holidays Everyone!

<p>I want to start off by just wishing everyone a great holiday season, whether you spend it with family or friends or even strangers, have a great time!
<br><br>
I’d wanted to post this on Wednesday but as many of you know I was rather busy myself! But! The site is officially in Winter 2012! With this it also means that we’re heading towards 3 years since the end of all things, this will come with spring so keep that in mind when creating new characters!
<br><br>
<p>Along with the new season, we’re approaching a new year. I would like everyone to go take a look at their characters and update your mini profiles for characters ages. You don’t need to worry about the apps, the mini profile is where most people will check for correct ages! I would like everyone to have done this by the end of January please!
<br><br>
Speaking of the end of January, just a heads up to all, I will be running another AC after the new year so be sure to get a post in before the end of January to stay safe!
<br><br>
<p>Now onto some more fun things! First off as some of you may have noticed, we’ve added the Alexandria Canons! You can find them here. With the new addition of Alexandria’s member group, we’ve also done a little bit of editing to some others. Old Sages Mill and Nomads both have a new member group color. They’ve been updated on all of the claims and info pages so if you had anything using the old group color be sure to update your own things!
<br><br>
Secondly we’ve updated our Cop/Military/Medical Personnel count. You can find the new information here. Remember, canons don’t count towards this cap!
<br><br>
Third, we have ratios now! It’s nothing that we’re being strict on, the only cap that we have in place is the one mentioned above. This is more just to get a visual idea of what/who is around on the site. You can find this new pretty here.

And finally I would just like to remind you all that if you were interested in joining our holiday writing contest that all submissions are due on New Year’s Day (Jan 1st) at Midnight PST (so tech its Jan. 2nd!) You can find more information about the contest here!

<p>And lastly, really lastly this time, I just want to toss a big welcome to all of the new members that we’ve gotten in the last two months and a thank you to all the current members for being so welcoming and helpful! You guys rock!
