Grant has always been a gruff, stubborn sort of man. As he got older he got kinder, particularly with his kids. He's always had a soft spot for kids, but his in particular helped him open up as a person. He's a hard working man and believes in doing a good days work. When he starts a project, he finishes it in a timely manner. There are no half measures or unfinished projects laying about the Daniels home. It suits him well in his chosen profession as a landscaper. He was happily married before the outbreak; he and Katherine were that couple that sickened those around them with their adorableness. Even their fights were cute. He loved his kids very much, finding something to be proud of in each of them and the lives they've chosen.
He lived in Indianapolis with his wife and two if his children when the outbreak hit. He had five kids in total, but three were already out in the world, making a place for themselves. The second youngest, Hunter, was away at a convention during the outbreak, but the youngest, Elise, was with him and his wife Katherine when the outbreak hit. The three survived riots, the initial wave of outbreak and walkers, and a massive fire that spread across the end of the city their family home was in. With no other place to go, they headed for Washington D.C. which they hadn't heard was having problems of their own. They were hoping to find the eldest Joe, his wife Kennedy, and Hunter but instead were greeted by a road block and a detour provided by the U.S. Military. They ended up in a safe zone in the southern portion of Maryland and stayed there for a time, when that safe zone fell Katherine fell with it. From there, Grant and Elise were on their own for a bit. Eventually they met another group, one they trusted, and were taken in. Which group that is exactly is up to the player who takes Grant or Elise first, though we do have some suggestions about which ones to choose from.
The PB used here is Sean Bean and we rather like his face. So long as no one puts him in armor and gives him a sword, he should survive for more than half a movie or season of a t.v. show too >.>
Evelyn was the literal middle child, with two older brothers and a younger brother and sister, she often got put int he middle of things. Be they arguments, wrestling matches, games, or occasionally a group hug. As a kid she was pretty sporty, playing on various sporting teams in school and in summer programs, but as she got older she dropped most of them. She stuck with track through sophomore year of high school, but then left the team. The combination of puberty and having a lot of brothers made her look at the pretty, dolled up girly girls in her class and want to be more like them. She started wearing make up and pushed running to a hobby spot on her social life radar. Growing up with so many siblings, she learned how to give and take insults. Her attitude was always playful, with lots of teasing remarks. As she got older, her brothers were the only ones who could drag her into some sort of wrestling match or competition.
After high school, Evelyn bypassed regular colleges and instead went to culinary school to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional chef. She was in L.A. when the outbreak began, working in the kitchen as sous chef at her first professional cooking job. When the outbreak began, she ran for home in Indianapolis to be with her family. She may already be with her brothers in Alexandria, she may be with her father and sister, or she may be wandering nearby on her own, it's up to the player, but we would like to see her in Alexandria at some point in the future. Where ever she is, I have a feeling she's dangerous with a blade.
One thing to note, Graham Macmillan is an Alexandria who took refuge with her brother Ben. While with Ben, he saw a picture of Evelyn and was instantly smitten. If you pick up this character, you may have a potential love plot on your hands.
PB is Meghan Ory and this one is non-negotiable. We just really like her pretty face.
Hunter is the second youngest Daniels child and the youngest boy. He was a nerd even as a kid, smarter than his age and good at logic puzzles. As he grew up, his interests leaned toward books, and in high school he became captain of the debate team. Had he been given the chance, he might have gone on to be a fabulous lawyer. He was pretty outgoing and confident in class assignments or during debates and such, but one on one in a more social situation, he tended to have trouble. He'd get blustered easily, especially by a pretty girl, and never followed his instincts for fear of being wrong or looking like an idiot. One girl in particular he had a crush on, a girl in Model U.N. with him who also got invited to the Future Leaders of America conference.
During the outbreak, Hunter was a a Future Leaders of America conference in Washington D.C. He and several classmates were on a tour of the White House when all guests were asked to exit the premises. They returned to their hotel with their chaperone to find out what was going on. The chaperone left to speak with the hotel management and never returned. After the news broke that the outbreak had reached Washington D.C., Hunter decided to try to make it to his brother Joe's house on the edge of the city. He and a small group of teens from the convention managed to flag down the last cabbie still running in D.C. The wise cracking cabbie drove them out to Joe Daniels house, but ended up sticking with them because the streets were crammed with traffic, abandoned cars, and people freaking out. The neighborhood was soon put on lock down and turned into a safe zone by the military. A few days later, the safe zone fell and Hunter, his friends, his brother and his brothers wife, and the cabbie all made a break for it. They drove out of the city but had to abandon the vehicles sooner than they would have liked. Then they moved around on foot for the next couple of years looking for food and shelter. Eventually, They came upon Alexandria and it's walls and were welcomed inside by Deanna Monroe. He's been living inside the walls of Alexandria for about a year now.
PB here is Taron Egerton, other options are Ansel Elgort and Max Ehrich
This is Elise Daniels, the baby of the Daniels clan. She's always been the sweetest of the Daniel's siblings, the kindest and most naive. Like a couple of her siblings, she was a bit of a nerd, though her interests were more for science than the others. Combined with her love of animals, she had been vaguely considering becoming a veterinarian when she grew up, but she never even got the chance to finish high school. She was naturally quiet, particularly in school, that mousy girl who always got the best marks but never drew attention to herself for it. She's never had a boyfriend, though she probably had her little crushes in high school. The story was different around her family or with her close friends. When she was with them, Elise was suddenly a talker, and she can talk fast for a mousy little thing. She wasn't entirely about science and books, she picked up the habit of running from her older sister Evelyn and joined the track team in high school. She would have stuck with it if the world hadn't fallen apart when she was only fifteen.
During the outbreak, Elise was with her mom and dad. It was a good thing that she was, because Elise never would have survived on her own. She isn't exactly a born killer. Heck, she isn't a born fighter either. The one thing she was built for in this world is running. She's fast and she trained enough before the outbreak that she's got endurance too. When the outbreak hit Indianapolis, it was her father who kept her and her mother alive when fires spread through their section of the city. But they weren't lucky enough that Katherine Daniels survived longer than a couple of days into the outbreak. Elise, Katherine, and Grant were traveling east toward Washington D.C. when they hit a road block. They hadn't heard that the city had been hit by the outbreak, their intention had been to find Hunter, Joe and Kennedy, then maybe head south to find Ben. Instead soldiers detoured them away from the city. Katherine died at the first safe zone they were sent to, the unfortunate casualty of the outbreak getting inside the zone. Elise and Grant were on their own after that, but they stayed int he area still hoping to run into one of their family members.
Currently they are with a group, though which one is up tot he player who takes either Grant or Elise first. We have a couple of suggestions as far as groups go, but these two are not with Alexandria. They might join them in the future and reunite, but at first we'd like them to be with another group.
Preferred PB is Vanessa Marano (pictured here) or Ivy Latimer.
Very little is known of the personal life of Muhammad the cab driver. In fact, we aren't sure if that's his first or his last name. What we do know about Muhammad is that he's a great guy, good natured with a positive attitude and loves to crack jokes. He believes in the power of sarcasm and laughter to turn any situation around. He also has a little bit of a troublemaker side that likes to stir the pot and cause little dramas. He's usually the one overhearing a conversation or argument and saying things like 'daaaaaamn' and 'ouch, that burns', something that never helps a situation get better.
Despite his mischievous antics and poorly timed commentary, Mohammad is a good guy. He ended up with Hunter, Joe, and Kennedy Daniels and followed them all the way to Alexandria simply because he was too nice a guy to leave a bunch of teenagers stranded in the city when the outbreak started and everything was going to shit. He likes to call himself the 'Last Cabbie Standing' because of it. He gave Hunter and his friends a ride out of central D.C. out to the suburbs where Joe and Kennedy lived, but then was required to stay by the military who rolled up and made the place a safe zone. He then traveled with the group out of the safe zone when it fell and wandered with them until they happened on Alexandria. He now lives within those walls, and what he does there to make himself useful is up to his player.
Also up to his player is Muhammad's life before the outbreak (other than his job as a cabbie). Whether he had family, a wife and kids, a second job as a comedian, etc. is all up to you! Mostly as we came up with the backstory for Hunter, we decided this ridiculous cabbie needed a chance to be created on the site because he entertains us so much.
PB shown here is James Monroe Iglehart, bonus points if you can find a reason to have him driving a cab in a genie costume (you'll understand when you google his face). Another good option might be Judd Hirsch.
